Frequently Asked Questions:
Can I bring food and drink?
You are welcome to bring in whatever food and drink you would like. Our staff is not allowed to prepare, handle, or cork any food or drink items brought into the store.
What if I need extra time?
A designated class time will be provided (for any class project, they range from 2-3 hours depending on the class) – extra classroom time requested after that designated time will be $10 per half hour.
What should I wear to class?
Appropriate Attire for the Occasion: We ask that participants wear closed toe shoes while creating their piece to avoid sharp objects. Safety goggles will be provided for those who do not wear glasses or who want to avoid damage to their glasses. Eye protection must be worn while cutting glass to avoid injury.
What should I do if I get a cut or scrape?
In the event of cuts/scrapes from the glass we do have a first aid kit on-site. Although we try to teach students with a regard to safety 1st, it is not uncommon especially when first learning how to handle glass to get cuts and scrapes. A waiver will be required for signature upon entering the classroom.
Please keep in mind during all the classes offered, we work with sharp glass. For insurance and liability purposes, anyone under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult during the class. Adult and child (no matter what age) must both be paying participants for class and will sign a release form. For students that are 16 & 17 years old, parent must sign release waiver with teen, but teen may take class alone. Minimum age is class specific, but the average minimum age is 10-12. Walk-in students can be as young as 6, again with a parent present and release form signed.
Is the class limited to just the use of stained glass?
Stained glass mosaics sometimes consist of mixed media. It isn’t uncommon to mix the glass with costume jewelry, stones, beads, marbles, and other materials to make mosaic art. We do offer some of these materials for use at a minimal additional cost, but you are also welcome to bring any pieces that you feel you might want to add to your artwork. However, please also be aware that in beginner class parties we are limited to a 2-3 hour timeframe and adding additional materials can increase the time it takes to make a piece of mosaic art.
Can I use a pattern?
We do offer several fun patterns to choose from. They can be transferred onto your piece prior to making it to provide you with an outline to start from.
What are payment options at the Studio?
We accept all forms of payment. We process cards via Square Readers.
We need advance notice, preferably 2 weeks ahead of time but with a minimum 7 day notice to schedule a private class to guarantee your requested date – a credit card number will be retrieved with the understanding that it will be charged ASAP for a non-refundable deposit of $50. This goes towards the final bill, not an additional charge.
We need the guaranteed number of students (and roster) provided to us at least 4 days before the class to be able to properly set up for the class. A minimum of 6 participants must be guaranteed to host a private party. You will be charged for at least the minimum, even in the event of no-shows if proper notice isn’t given. Everyone in the studio must be a paying participant.

FINE PRINT …Terms apply to all individual classes at the Studio. As a courtesy to others, please read and comply. 1. Your class will start on time. Please be on time and prepared. 2. Everyone who is present for a class must be enrolled in that class. 3. Payment is required when you register for a class. When you register, we reserve that space and purchase supplies for you. See cancellation policies below. 4. Please wear closed toe shoes. 5. Our primary goal is for you to have a fun, creative, stress-free time.
Individual Class cancellation policies: In order to keep class costs low for all, we make no exceptions to these policies for any reason. There is a lot of time, effort, and personnel that goes into planning, prepping, staffing and buying supplies for each class, and therefore we cannot change these policies for anyone, for any reason. Plus when there’s wait lists for classes, it’s not fair to the folks that could have joined the class but weren’t able to due to the class being sold out. Think of this like a concert ticket, if you don’t show up, the concert doesn’t get to be replayed personally for you at a different time. We appreciate your understanding. If student cancels due to ANY reason: If student cancels class OUTSIDE of 2 days prior to class date, student will receive studio credit for another class or toward anything else available for purchase in the studio. Cancellations/attempts to transfer INSIDE 2 days prior to class or no-shows will lose class fee – no credits, no transfers – GROUPON will be forfeited and redeemed. Call studio directly in the event of any cancellations 865-337-5157, or send us a msg. via IM Facebook
If studio cancels due to low enrollment: In the event that we cancel a class due to low enrollment, those who have registered will be given studio credit in the amount they paid for class. The credit can be used for another class or to go toward anything else available for purchase. Cancellations are made 1-2 days prior to the beginning of class. If a class is cancelled, we are not responsible for reimbursing travel costs or other reservation fees.
